2 large cans cut green beans
¼ c. butter
salt & pepper to taste
2 c. vegetable broth *
1 8 oz. pkg. tiny ham pieces (Smithfield or Farmland)
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
Enough milk to make soft dough,
about 1 c.
1 qt. heavy cream

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix first 3 ingredients in a large kettle and heat as if you were making them to eat.
2. While beans are heating, mix flour, salt, eggs and milk in a separate bowl to make dumpling dough. Set aside.
3.When beans have cooked for a few minutes, add the vegetable broth and ham and return to a boil.
4.Add dumplings in small spoonsful (or I use small cookie scoop).
5.When dumplings are done, reduce heat to medium low and add cream*.
6.Heat completely until flavors blend.

*You can add more broth if soup is too rich.
