2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 generous tsp. cinnamon
⅛ tsp. salt
1 stick butter or margarine
½ c. oil
¼ c. cocoa
1 c. water
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
½ c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda

Frosting:
1 stick butter or margarine
4 T. cocoa
7 T. milk
1 lb. (3¾ c. ) powdered Sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
½ c. chopped pecans

Cake:
1. Mix first 4 ingredients in a mixing bowl and set aside.
2. In a saucepan, heat butter, oil, cocoa and water.
3. Bring to a boil.
4. Remove from heat and pour over flour mixture. Mix well.
5. Dissolve soda in buttermilk.
6. Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk to batter mixture. Mix well.
7. Pour into a greased 12x18 inch pan.
8. Bake 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until it tests clean with a toothpick.
9. Start frosting with about 10 minutes left on timer.

Frosting:
1. Mix butter, milk and cocoa in saucepan and bring to a boil.
2. Place sugar in a bowl and pour hot liquid over sugar.
3. Beat with mixer, adding vanilla and nuts.
4. Pour over hot cake fresh out of oven. Frosting sets quickly.
