1 c. sugar
1 lb. butter or oleo
4 c. flour
egg yolk
fine cracker or bread crumbs
sand plum or mint flavored apple jelly
powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix ingredients, makes stiff dough.
2. Turn out on floured board.
3. Roll 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick cut in a diamond shape about 3 inches long with cutter.
4. Rub egg yolk over each.
5. Put fine cracker or bread crumbs on top.
6. Bake at 350º about 12 to 13 minutes.
7. Cool.
8. Put together in pairs with sand plum or mint flavored apple jelly.
9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
