1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 squares semi-sweet baking chocolate, chopped
1 package (7 oz.) (2 2/3 cup) coconut
1 cup chopped toasted walnuts
1 cup raisins

Directions:

Beat butter and sugars with mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by tablespoon 1 1/2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 350º for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 2-3 minutes, remove to completely cool on wire rack.
