1 pint heavy cream
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla

In a large mixing bowl beat heavy cream until it just starts to thicken. Gradually add the confectioners sugar and vanilla. Beat on high until stiff peaks form.

This recipe works better if the heavy cream is very COLD. It also helps if you place the bowl you will use in the freezer for about an hour before you plan to make the whipped cream.
