3 cups flour
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1/2 cup Hellman's mayo
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
confectioners sugar

Preheat oven to 325º
Grease & flour one 10 inch tube pan ( or if giving as a gift - 2 9x5 loaf pans)

in small bowl, combine first 4 ingredients & set aside

In large mixer bowl, beat butter & mayo until smooth. Gradually blend in sugar, beat at high speed until light & fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
At medium speed, alternately blend in flour misture & milk in three additionsjust until smooth. Blend in vanilla

Spread in prepared pan. Bake 75-85 minutes( 60-65 minutes in loaf pans) or until wooden pick comes out clean but moist.

Cool in pan on wire rack for 15 minutes, then remove from pan & cool completely.
