½ cup fresh or frozen cranberries
½ cup apple juice or unfermented apple cider
1 tsp grated orange zest
1 small orange (6oz) peeled & chopped
1 small pear (6 oz) peeled, pared, cored & cut into cubes
1 TB raisins
3 TB firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp ground all spice

Directions:
Directions:
In 1 qt saucepan, combine cranberries, apple juice & orange zest. Bring to a boil then lower heat & let simmer untilcranberries start to pop - about 5 minutes.

Add remaining ingredients & cook, stirring occasionally, until fruits are softened - about 5 minutes
Serve relish at room temperature or chill until ready to serve

VARIATIONS: substitute 1 TB mixed dried fruit for the raisins
substitute 1 (4 oz) apple for pear
