½ cup unsalted butter
1 cup flour
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt
2 peaches, pitted and sliced
1 cup blueberries
1 Tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon or cardamom

Directions:

1. Butter and line a 9 inch cake pan with parchment paper.
2. Place butter, flour, sugar, eggs, baking powder, vanilla and salt in a large bowl.
3. With an electric mixer, beat everything together for 3 minutes.
4. Spoon batter into pan and top with fruit. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
5. Bake at 350ºF for 45 to 50 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
6. Cool on a wire rack.
