1 yellow onion, chopped
2-3 stalks celery, chopped
2-3 carrots, chopped
2 1/2 pounds ground beef
2 cups dry white wine
1 1/2 cups mils
1 large cans tomato
3 cans tomato sauce (15 oz)
3 Tbs butter
3 Tbs olive oil
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 Tbs Basil
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
4 Tbs Parsley
Oregano (to taste)
Jar of mushrooms

Directions:
Directions:
Put oil and butter in pan with onion and cook for 5 minutes or so.
Add celery and carrots and cook for another 5 minutes.
Add ground beef and crumble with fork. Cook over medium heat until meat has lost its raw color only.
Add wine and turn heat up to medium high. Cook until evaporated.
Turn heat to medium and add milk. Cook until evaporated.
Add tomatoes. Whey they start to bubble, turn heat down to low and cook for 1 hour at lazy simmer.
After 1 hour add the tomato sauce and spices to taste.
Simmer 4-6 hours

1 hour before done add jar of mushrooms

We like more than one jar of mushrooms. Also, sausage and beef are a good combo here.
