3 cups flour
2 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
½ cup lard
1 cup milk

Filling:
2 Tbsp butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift the dry ingredients for the crust together. Cut in the lard to form a coarse mixture. Gradually add the milk until a soft dough forms. Roll the dough thicker than a pie crust.
2. Butter the dough. Cover with the brown sugar and sprinkle with the cinnamon. Roll like a jelly roll and slice ½ inch thick.
3. Place slices on cookie sheet. Bake at 350ºF for 12 to 14 minutes until golden brown.
