1 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup water
½ cup orange juice
4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
Optional: ½ cup chopped pecans, Orange Zest, 1 rup raisins, 1 cup currants, 1 pint blueberries, Cinnamon, nutmeg, or All spice

Wash and pick over cranberries. Bring water to a boil, add sugar. Stir to dissolve sugar. Add cranberries return to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer for 10 minutes or until cranberries burst (start to pop). Add cinnamon and orange juice. Remove from heat. Cool completely at room temperature and then chill in refrigerator. Will thicken as it cools.
