Bottom Crust:
½ cup salted butter
1 cup sifted flour
¼ cup sifted powdered sugar

Lemon Layer (combine):
2 eggs- well beaten
1 cup sugar
¼ t salt
3 T lemon juice
½ t baking powder
2 T flour

Directions:

Cream butter and add flour and sugar and mix. Beat enough so that the dough cleans the bowl. It will be soft and pliable. Press into the bottom of an ungreased 8 x 8 pan (line the pan with two sheets of parchment paper. Put them in the pan in the shape of a cross and use the overhang to remove the baked bars). Wet your hands with a little bit of water to make this easier.
Bake at 350º for 20 minutes. Pour lemon filling over the crust and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes at 350º. Let cool, cut into bars and sprinkle with additional powdered sugar.
