3 egg yolks
½ cup sugar
½ cup flour
⅓ cup cocoa
¼ cup sugar
½ tsp. Baking soda
¼ tsp. Salt
⅓ cup water
1 tsp. Water
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 egg whites
1 Tbs. sugar

Directions:
Line a 15½x10½x1” jelly roll pan with buttered aluminum foil. BeT egg yolks about 3 minutes at high speed in small mixer bowl. Gradually add ½ cup sugar. Beat 2 more minutes.

Mix flour, cocoa, ¼ cup sugar, soda and salt in small bowl, add alternately with water and vanilla to egg yolk mixture on low speed, just until batter is smooth.

Beat egg whites till foamy, add 1 Tbs. sugar and beat till stiff. Carefully fold egg whites into chocolate mixture.
Pour into pan and bake at 375º F for 15 to 18 minutes.
When cake springs back when slightly touched with finger it is done.

Invert cake onto a slightly dampened towel, remove foil immediately and roll cake from narrow end. Let stand 1 minute; unroll and remove towel, reroll cake and let cool. When cool cake can be filled with whipped cream and chilled before slicing.
