2 lamb shanks [just over 1 lb total]
1/4 cup onion chopped
1/4 tsp Rosemary
1/4 tsp garlic minced
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 small tomato peeled and cut into chunks
1 Tbs lemon juice
1 cup beef stock
1/4 cup red wine
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

1 Braze shanks in Dutch oven, remove set aside to cool
2 In the Dutch oven, combine wine, tomatoes & tomato sauce, broth, lemon, and bring to a boil- stir occasionally
3 Rub shanks with salt, pepper, onions, rosemary and garlic. put leftover spices in pot
4 After boiling, add shanks cover and place in oven for 2-3 hours @ 300º until tender
5 When tender remove. Strain liquid and use as sauce 2 servings
