2 cups oatmeal
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup melted margarine
2 tablespoons shortening
1 cup M & M’s
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup M & M’s


Directions:
Directions:
Combine oatmeal, flour, nuts, brown sugar, soda, salt, and margarine. Reserve 1 1/2 cups. Press the rest into a 9 x 13-inch pan (greased). Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
Melt shortening in heavy saucepan. Add 1 cup M & M’s. Cook over low heat, stirring and pressing until melted (except coating). Remove from heat and add condensed milk. Mix well and spread to within 1/2-inch of edge. Sprinkle reserved crumbs and 1/2 cup of M & M’s. Press lightly.
Bake another 20 minutes.
