2 T butter
1 1/2 cups finely chopped apple
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic

2 T flour
2-3 tsp curry powder
1 tsp salt

1 Cup milk
1 cup chicken broth
2 cups cubed cooked chicken

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a large saucepan.
Add apples, onions and garlic. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until onions are translucent, then add flour, curry power and salt and cook for a couple of minutes. Add milk and chicken broth; cook, stirring periodically, until the sauce has thickened. about 15 min.
Add chicken and heat through. Serve over rice.

I make this every year after Thanksgiving and use turkey instead of chicken. A favorite for our family. We serve with coconut, peanuts, and raisins as garnish.

Although this is a Christmas picture around 1957 in Oklahoma City, Grandma and Grandad Smith's house. I am sure we had Thanksgiving together too.
