Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 top round steaks
2 onions, sliced
Vinegar
Salt
Pepper
Hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Cut round steak in strips (1/2” wide).
Cook meat & onions in a little oil until blood is out (moderate low heat).
Add 5 big spoonfuls* vinegar, salt & pepper. Cook short time (around 3 minutes).
Add hot water to cover. Simmer around 1 hour until meat is tender (cover pan). Stir
occasionally. May have to add little bit more water if it goes down before hour is up.
Serve over rice or noodles. Good served with green beans.

Recommended: Cook night before or in morning.

Notes (from Grma Pam):
I usually do 1 steak, 1 onion, 2 large spoonfuls of vinegar. I also usually cook this right
before dinner, as I almost always forget to cook the day before!
Cut meat strips on the diagonal across the grain of the meat. Makes for more tender
pieces.
* The “spoonfuls” are using the large spoon that you use when stirring the pot. One
“spoonful” is almost = to 2 tablespoons.
Don’t overdue the covering of the meat with hot water or you’ll get too much water. Just
be sure to stir occasionally! I leave the cover (lid) slightly open. This gives the water
the chance to slowly steam out.
