1 ½ cups Elbow Macaroni
3 tbsp butter or margarine
2 cups milk
½ tsp salt
Dash of pepper
2 cups shredded sharp cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Cook macaroni in boiling, salted water until tender. Drain and pour into casserole dish.
In saucepan, melt butter and blend in flour to form a paste. Add milk and stir until thick. Add salt, pepper, and cheese. Stir until cheese has melted. Pour into casserole dish with macaroni and mix. Place a layer of cheese on top if desired. Cook at 325º for approximately 30 minutes. Then place oven on broil long enough to brown the top layer of cheese.
