1 cup butter, softened
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cream of tarter

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter, oil and sugars. Beat in eggs until well blended. Combine the flour, baking soda and cream of tarter and gradually add to creamed mixture. Drop by spoonful onto greased baking sheet.
Bake in preheated 375 oven for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned. Remove to wire rack to cool.
Makes about 5 dozen.
