abt 1 loaf of dried bread - cubed/crumbled
1/2 Cup cocoa
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs (3 if small)
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch of salt
3-4 c milk

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs, sugar, cocoa, vanilla and salt together in casserole pan. Mom used a 2 quart pan
Add about 3 c milk
Add broken up bread
Keep adding milk and bread until pan is full within about 1 1/2 inches ofd top
Stir until all mixed well

Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350º

This was my Dad's (Raymond Drain) favorite dessert and we had it often!
My mom always made it in the same pan - I have it - - and she often said there was no recipe!
We (my siblings and I) have tried to make this - and make it taste like Mom's be we've never succeeded! We all swear it was the pan - but we even tried it in "the" pan and no success!

I need to try again!
