2 1/3 cups sugar
2 1/2 quarts half and half
3 Tablespoons vanilla
pinch of salt

Beat eggs.
Add sugar and mix well
Add rest of ingredients and mix thoroughly
pour into freeze
Freeze
Freeze following freezer instructions - - use ice and rock salt -
keep ice up around top of freezer
When frozen drain water, pack with ice and cover until ready to serve

For maple nut ice cream, omit vanilla an add 1-2 oz bottle of Mapleine and 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
