1 Cup Butter Shortening
1 Cup Sugar or Sugar Free Substitute
1 Cup Steen's 100% Cane Syrup
2 Eggs, slightly beaten
4 3/4 Cups Flour
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoons Baking Soda
2 1/2 Cups Fined Shredded Coconut Flakes
2 1/2 Cups Pecans, roasted for 5-7 minutes
1 Cup Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, and cane syrup in a bowl. Mix in eggs. Sift together flour, baking powder, and soda. Add to mixture. Stir well. Add in coconut and nuts alternating with milk. Drop by tablespoon about 2 inches apart on un-greased cookie sheet. Bake in 375 degrees oven until cookies start to brown, about 15 minutes. Let sit out 5 minutes. Remove from pan.

If using Sugar Free Substitute, bake on 350 degrees.
