MEATBALLS
4 pounds ground meat
1 onion, chopped little
1 bell pepper, chopped little
4 eggs
4 cloves garlic, chopped little
1 cup grated Romano Cheese
1 cup Progresso Bread Crumbs
1 cup water

PASTA SAUCE
1 large onion, chopped little
1 bell pepper, chopped little
8 ounces sliced mushrooms (if canned; drain them)
8 small cans tomato paste
15 teaspoons sugar

Directions:
Directions:
MEATBALLS
Put ground meat in a large bowl. Add all the other ingredients and mix well.
Add salt & pepper to taste
Shape into meat balls being careful not to pack them too firmly
Put meatballs on broiler pan
Brown in oven making sure not to get them too brown


SAUCE
Saute' vegetables in dutch oven with just enough cooking oil to cover bottom of pot. Add tomato paste and simmer about 10 minutes (making sure it doesn't burn)
Add sugar, simmer another 10-15 minutes (making sure it doesn't burn)
Add about two quarts of water, stirring sauce as you add water. Bring to a boil
Add meat balls
Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours
Uncover and continue cooking for about 1 hour until it thickens.

Add pasta as you like it
