3 Very Ripe Banana's mashed
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. melted shortning'

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar, shortning and unbeaten egg and mashed banana's also add nuts as desired.
add baking powder, soda and vanilla and mix
add flour and mix
bake in a greased and floured bread pan
sprinkle with sugar
bake at 350 for 1 hour

variation: sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar or brown sugar and cinnamon.
Mom would always let us take a piece when is was hot. IT WAS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!
