1 iceberg lettuce
1 romaine lettuce
4 to 5 green onions and tops
1 packaged slivered almonds, toasted
1 to 2 cans mandarin oranges

Dressing:
1/4 cup oil
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
dash of pepper
dash of Tabasco © sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Do ahead dressing. Heat ingredients in dressing to boiling point. Quickly remove. Cool and refrigerate.

Toast almonds and refrigerate oranges.

Tear lettuce.
Chop onions.
Add toasted almonds and drained mandarin oranges just before serving.
Toss lightly with dressing.
