2/3 C Old Fashioned Oats
2/3 C Bob's Red Mill 1-to-1 Flour
5 T Darkest Brown Sugar
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Salt
6 T Butter or Earth Balance Sticks

10 medium size apples

It takes 20 mins to slice apples, grease pan, mix topping and assemble.

Preheat oven to 375º.

To make crumble topping: combine oats, flour, dark brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Using pastry blender or 2 table knives cut in cubed butter until no dry flour is left.

Grease 10 x 6 inch oblong glass baking dish or a 8 x 8 baking dish. Slice apples into the baking dish leaving enough room to top with crumble topping.

Bake at 375º until desired doneness.

Butter or Earth Balance Sticks works best at room temperature. Feel free to combine different apples.
Gravensteins make the best pies but something softer is better for crumble topping.Softer apples will make a musher crumble. If apples are firm and tart, I slice them again after using the apple slicer.

Topping can be made ahead of time and frozen so when guests arrive all you need to do is grease pan, slice apples and top wirh crumble.
