Creme Brulee Recipe

6 egg yolks
6 tbs. sugar
3 Cups half & half
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 Cup light brown sugar

Beat yolks slightly. Add sugar and beat 5 minutes or until lemon colored.
Place cream and vanilla in double boiler and carefully bring to a boil.
Pour small amount of cream into egg mixture and beat constantly.
Return all to hot mixture.
Cook over hot water 3-4 minutes or until slightly thickened.
Pour into heat resistant serving dish. Chill 6-8 hours or until set.
Sift brown sugar and sprinkle evenly over custard.
Place 4 inches under boiler and watch for 3-4 minutes and chill.
