Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 quart (4 cups) strawberries, sliced
1/4 c sugar
2 1/3 c Original Bisquick mix
1/2 c milk
3 Tbsp sugar
3 Tbsp melted butter

1/2 c heavy whipping cream or Cool Whip

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 425 degrees. In large bowl, mix strawberries and 1/4 c sugar. Set aside.

In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, milk, 3 Tbsp sugar, and the butter until soft dough forms. On ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by 6 spoonfuls.

Meanwhile, in small bowl, beat whipping cream with electric mixer on high speed until soft peaks form.
Note: Whipping cream will whip faster if the bowl and electric mixer beaters are refrigerated about an hour before preparation.

Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Split warm shortcakes. Fill and top with strawberries and whipped cream.

This recipe used to be featured on the Betty Crocker Bisquick box, but no longer. It's my old standby for strawberry shortcake, so had to include it here.
