1 c. milk, scalded
½ c. shortening
½ c. sugar
1 t. salt
2 packages yeast
2 eggs, beaten
4½ c. flour
Sugar coating:
½ c. butter, melted
1 c. sugar
1 T. cinnamon
½ c. nuts and raisins or butterscotch chips

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together scalded milk, shortening, sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm and add yeast and beaten eggs. Add flour. Knead until smooth and elastic, not sticky. Place in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let rise until double in size. Push down and let rest 10 minutes. Meanwhile, melt margarine and in separate bowl, mix together sugar, cinnamon, nuts and raisins or butterscotch chips. Make dough size of walnuts and roll each in melted margarine, then in sugar mixture. Place in greased angel food pan in staggered rows until all dough is used. Let rise and then bake in 350º oven for about 45 minutes.
