1 large package chocolate cake mix
1 can cherry pie filling
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp almond or vanilla extract
5 tbsp butter
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup milk
3/4 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
Directions:
1. Put cake mix into large mixing bowl and mix per package instructions.
2. Add eggs and extract of choice to mixture and mix well. Mix will appear thick like brownies.
3. Spread 2/3 of batter into well greased cookie sheet or jelly roll pan that is dusted with flour.
4. Spoon drop cherry pie filling on top of batter.
5. Spread remaining batter on top of pie filling.
6. Bake at 350F for 30 min.
7. In pot combine butter, sugar and milk. Bring to a hard boil and boil for 1 min.
8. Remove milk mixture from heat and add chocolate chips. Stir well until chips dissolve.
9. Cool milk mixture for a few minutes and then pour over cake while it is still warm.
