3 c.fresh blackberries
1 c sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
3 T cornstarch
1 c. cold water
1 T butter

BISCUIT TOPPING:
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 T sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cold butter, cubed
1/2 c. 2% milk

Whipped topping or vanilla ice cream

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, combine the blackberries, sugar and cinnamon. Cook and stir until mixture comes to a boil.

2. Combine cornstatch and water until smooth,; stir into fruit mixture. Bring to boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Pour into a greased 8" greased square baking dish. Dot with butter.


3. For topping, in a small bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles course crumbs. Stir in milk unti moistened. Drop tablespoons onto hot berry mixture.


4. Bake uncovered at 350º for 30-35 minutes or until filling is bubbly and topping is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped topping
