4 cups flour
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup lard or shortening
2 eggs
1 cup or more milk
1 cup dried currents

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425°F. Mix together dry ingredients. Cut in lard until mixture looks like coarse meal. Beat eggs and combine with milk; add to dry ingredients. Add in currents. Stir with a fork until all the dry ingredients are moistened. Use more milk if needed. Dough should be soft. Gather into a ball and rollout into ¼-inch thickness on a floured board. Cut with 2 ½-inch cookie cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
