11 quarts ripe tomatoes
6 onions
12 whole cloves
3 stocks celery
1 cup white sugar
2 tbsps. butter
⅓ cup salt
dash pepper
2 cups flour
2 cups milk
1 quart water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine tomatoes, onions, cloves, celery, water and cook until tender; strain. Add sugar, buttter, salt, pepper and flour. Cook additional 20 minutes. Add milk and heat. Makes 12 pints.
