2 cups sugar
1 cup water
½ cup Crisco
1 stick margarine
3 tablespoons cocoa
2 eggs
½ cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup milk
2 stick margarine, divided
6 tablespoons cocoa, divided
1 box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 can angel flake coconut
Pecans (optional)
Directions:
Directions:
Combine 2 cups flour and 2 cups sugar. Set aside. Place 1 cup water, ½ cup Crisco, 1 stick margarine, 3 tablespoons cocoa in heavy sauce pan. Bring to full boil then pour into flour-sugar mixture. Add 2 eggs, ½ cup buttermilk, 1 teaspoon soda, 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix well and pour into greased 9x13 pan. Cook 25-30 minutes at 400 degrees. During last 5 minutes of baking put 1/3 cup milk, 1 stick margarine and 3 tablespoons cocoa into previously used sauce pan and bring to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and add immediately 1 box powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 can angel flake coconut and pecans (optional). Pour immediately over cake when it comes from oven.
