1 medium onion, peeled and quartered
¼ c. water
1 c. ketchup
2 T. apple cider vinegar
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
2 T. Dijon mustard
5 T. molasses
1 tsp. hot sauce
2 T. vegetable oil
1 tsp, minced garlic
1 tsp. chili powder
¼ tsp. cayenne oepper

Directions:
Directions:
Pulse onion and water in food processor for 30 seconds. Strain mixture to obtain ½ cup juice. Discard solids. In a medium bowl mix onion juice, ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire, mustard, molasses and hot sauce. In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat until simmering but not smoking. Stir in garlic, chili and cayenne powders; cook for 30 seconds. Whisk in ketchup mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer gently, uncovered until sauce is thickened about 25 minutes. Cool sauce to room temperature before using.
