½ cup granulated sugar
3 cups warm water
2 - 8g pks. active dry yeast
2 large eggs
1 tsp. cooking oil
9 cups all purpose flour

Filling:
½ cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon

Icing:
1½ cups icing sugar
¼ cup butter or margarine
3 tbsps. milk or water
½ tsp. vanilla

Sticky Cinnamon Buns
1½ cups brown sugar, packed
1 cup butter or margarine
1½ tbsps. corn syrup
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
1¼ cups pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Stir sugar in warm water in large bowl. Sprinkle yeast over top. Let stand 10 minutes. Stir to dissolve yeast. Mix in eggs, cooking oil and salt. Work in enough flour until dough pulls away from sides of bowl. Turn out onto floured surface. Knead 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Diviode dough into 4 equal parts. Roll 1 part at a time ¼" thick into 9" x 12" rectangle.

Filling: Spread each rectangle with ¼ amount each of butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll each rectangle up form long side. Cut into 1" slices. Place cut side down in greased 9" x 13" pan ¼" apart. Cover with tea towel. Let stand in oven with light on and door closed for about 1 hour until doubled in size. Bake in 375ºF oven for about 20 minutes. Turn out right side up on rack.

Icing: Beat all ingredients together in bowl adding more icing sugar or milk to make a thin glaze. Spoon over warm buns.

Sticky Cinnamon buns:
Before cutting cinnamon buns in slices, heat and stir ingredients for sticky cinnamon buns in a saucepan until mixture starts to boil. Boil for 30 seconds. Pour into two 9" x 13". Scatter pecans over hot mixture. Arrange cinnamon buns ove top, cut side down. Cover with tea towel. Let stand in oven with light on and door closed for about 45 minutes until doubled in size. Bake in 350ºF oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Turn out onto sheets of foil. Do not ice. Cool slightly before serving.

Pan buns:
Omit filling and icing from cinnamon buns recipe. Cut off egg size pieces of dough. Shape into 48 buns. Place in 2 greased 9" x 13" pans close together. Cover with tea towel. Let stand in oven with light on and door closed for about 1¼ hours until doubled in size. Bake in 375ºF oven for about 20 minutes. Turn out onto rack to cool. Brush warm tops with butter. Makes 48 buns.

Butterscotch buns:
Omit cinnamon

Hamburger buns:
Make tennis size balls (4oz.). Flatten slightly with your hand. Place on baking sheet 2" apart to bake.

Hot dog buns:
Make tennis size balls (4oz.). Shape into long bun about 5" to 6" long and about 1¼" wide. Arrange on baking sheets 2" apart to bake.
