3/4 cup sugar . . . 3 T. flour . . . 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon . . . dash salt
5 cups thinly sliced apples . . . 1 T. Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Heat over to 425º. Stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt; mix with apples. Pour into a pastry shell and dot with butter. Cover with another pasty shell and cut slits in top or make lattice work and cover. Put a few more pats of butter on top crust with cinnamon and sugar and bake 40 to 50 minutes or until crust is brown and knife goes in easily. * No need for homemade crust if you add the butter and cinnamon sugar to the top.
