1½ cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup chopped nuts
1cup applesauce
½ cup shortening (Crisco)
2½ cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
dash of cloves
1 cup raisins

For icing: mix milk and confectionary sugar to a desired consistency to ice warm bars

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Prepare a jelly roll pan with nonstick spray or use Crisco

Cream sugar and eggs in large bowl

Mix with remaining ingredients and pour in jelly roll pan

Bake at 350º for 20 to 30 minutes till browned and baked thru

Mix confectionary sugar and milk. Ice bars while warm.
