Fresh beets

4 pint mixture:
! cup sugar
1 cup vinegar
4 cloves

1 cup reserved beet juice
Directions:
Directions:
Wash and boil the beets until tender. Reserve the boiling liquid (beet juice)
slice the beets and put them in a stainless steel kettle along with the vinegar, sugar, cloves and 1 cup of the reserved beet juice. Bring to boil
Pack beets into pint jars and seal
