2 qt water
2 1/2 cup white vinegar
3 tbsp pickling salt
1/4 tsp alum
2 - 4 cloves garlic
2 - 4 chili peppers
1 tbsp crushed chili peppers
2 - 4 dill heads
2 - 3 grape leaves
2 - 4 carrots
medium cucumbers
2 gallon crock

Directions:
Directions:
1. combine all the ingredients
2. wash the cucumbers
3. start packing the cucumbers, layering
4.when all packed in pour the mixture over the cucumbers
put a plate on top of layered cucumbers so that they stay under the brine.
5. let stand for 3 - 5 days in a cool place
6. when the pickles are ready remove them from the crock, cut into chunks, discarding the ends and put them into jars. Refrigerate.
