Chicken Casserole Recipe

One 2-3 quart casserole dish

4 chicken breasts boiled, reserving cup of the broth

8 oz.sour cream

1 Tablespoon of onion flakes or cup freshly diced onion

salt and pepper to taste

1 package Pepperidge Farm herb dressing/stuffing

1 stick of butter, melted

1 can cream of chicken soup

Preheat oven to 350

In large bowl, mix broth, sour cream, onion flakes, salt and pepper, one half of the bag of dressing, butter, and cream of chicken, soup. Mix well.

Fold in chicken pieces and place in the casserole dish.

Sprinkle about 1 cup of remaining dressing on top of the casserole.

Bake for 30-40 minutes until bubbly.

When making this casserole, you may need to add additional broth if you feel the mixture is too dry.
This is a family favorite. We enjoy with a tossed salad and blueberry muffins.
