1 cup plus 1 tablespoon flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup shortening
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon water
1 egg
¾ cup plain M & M’s
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F.

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl.

Beat shortening, brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add egg, beating well. Gradually beat in flour mixture and water. Stir in M & M’s.

Drop by rounded tablespoon onto greased baking sheets.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes
