¾ cup onion, chopped
2 tablespoon butter
3 cups cooked rice
20 ounces frozen chopped broccoli, defrosted
1 can (10 ½ ounces)condensed cream of mushroom soup
4 ounces pasteurized process cheese spread
¼ teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional)
½ cup grated cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the oven to 350°F. Butter a 1 ½ to 2-quart baking dish. In a large skillet, cook the onions in butter until tender crisp. Add remaining ingredients, except for the cheddar cheese. Spoon the broccoli mixture into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 35 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Top with grated cheese. Bake for 3 minutes longer or until cheese melts.
