4 ounces German sweet chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate, broken into pieces
2 tablespoons butter
⅓ cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ¼ cup coarsely chopped pecans
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.

Microwave chocolate and butter on high for 1 to 2 minutes until butter is melted, stirring halfway through heating time. Stir until chocolate is melted.

Stir in corn syrup, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into pie shell.

Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until filling is firm 2 inches from edge. Cool on wire rack.
