2 cups cooked chicken, chopped
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup seedless grapes cut in half
½ cup of chopped pecans
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine chicken, celery, grapes and pecans in a mixing bowl.
Add mayonnaise and salt to chicken mixture stirring gently.
Chicken Salad can be used for sandwiches or spooned on to lettuce leaves and served as the main dish.

Growing up in North Carolina during the 50s and 60s, chicken salad was always served in drug store counter restaurants. It was served as a grilled chicken salad sandwich cooked right in front of the customers.
