½ cup light brown sugar (packed)
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup margarine
1 egg
½ t. vanilla
1 cup all purpose flour
½ t. baking soda
¼ t. salt
½ t. baking powder
1 cup oats (uncooked)
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream brown and granulated sugar with margarine until fluffy in a large bowl.
Mix egg and vanilla together in a small bowl then mix into the large bowl.
In a small bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder. Add to the large bowl.
Stir in oats and chocolate chips and mix thoroughly.
Preheat Oven to 375º.
Drop by teaspoons onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 - 12 minutes in 375º oven until lightly browned.
Cool for 2 minutes before removing to a wire rack. Enjoy!
