Combine in a large bowl:

1 15oz box raisin bran cereal (8 cups)
3 cups sugar
2 tsp salt
5 tsp soda

Beat together with mixer until light & fluffy:

4 eggs
1 qt buttermilk
1 cup oil

5 cups flour (regular, wheat or bran)

Directions:
Directions:
Blend all together. Store in refrigerator with tight lid. Let set overnight before using. Bake 15-18 min at 400º. Do not stir dough.

Keeps up to 6 weeks in refrigerator.


Mom (Bonnie) used:
2 cups sugar instead of 3
1 cup white flour
1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
2 cups processed bran flakes
20 oz box cereal
