Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 stick butter, FROZEN
1/2 c. dried currents
1/2 c. sour cream
1 large egg
1 tsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Adjust oven rack to lower-middle position and preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a medium bowl, mix flour, 1/3 c sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Grate FROZEN butter into flour mixture on the large holes of a box grater. Use your fingers to work in butter (mixture should resemble coarse meal) then stir in raisins.

In a small bowl, whisk sour cream and egg until smooth.

Using a fork, stir sour cream mixture into flour mixture until large dough clumps form. Use your hands to knead the dough forming a ball. The dough will seem dry, but as you keep kneading the dough will come together.

Place the dough on a floured surface. Pat into a 7-8 inch circle that is 3/4 inch thick. Sprinkle with 1 tsp. sugar. Cut into 8 triangles.

Place 1 inch apart, on a greased cookie sheet or ungreased baking stone. Bake 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Personal Notes:
Instead of currents you can substitute any dried fruit, raisins or chocolate chips(yummy).

Best hot out the oven. They can be stored in a zip lock bag for one day and reheated, though I prefer them room temperature once they have cooled.
