1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar or half white sugar
2 eggs
2 T. grated orange rind
3 T. orange juice
2½ c. flour
1 t. baking soda
¾ t. salt
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. raisins
½ c. chopped nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs until light. Add orange rind and juice. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Add rolled oats, raisins and nuts. Mix until blended. Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes.
