4 (3/4 inch) pork chops
1 tsp oil
2 tbsp. brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
2 tbsp. butter
2 apples
3 tbsp. pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil in a large skillet. Add pork chops and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until done, turning occasionally.
Transfer to a dish, but keep warm.
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Melt butter in the skillet and then stir in the borwn sugar mixture and apples. Place the pork chops on top. Cover and cook until the apples are tender. occasionally, spoon some of the "sauce" over the prok chops to keep moist.

I tend to use more butter and brown sugar to make more of a sauce.


The recipe calls for tart apples, but I like gala.


I have added sweet potatoes with the apples....and that is yummy. But also tastes great with wild rice on the side.
